〈圣经与摩门经「登山宝训」之比较〉

以下的经文比较是针对摩门经的「尼腓三书十二到十四章」与「圣经马太福音五到七章」的比较。对圣经而言,这一段记载是有名的「登山宝训」,被称为是耶稣的「天国大宪章」。而根据摩门经的说法,耶稣复活后到北美洲,对当时的人讲了一段话,也正好是「登山宝训」的内容。因此这里就这两段文字加以比较。

基本背景:

马太福音是写给犹太人的一本福音书,用希腊文写成,但用了许多犹太人的背景与文字。成书时间大约在西元50-70年之间。

摩门经原文据称是现代人所无法了解的语文,透过约翰使密斯用乌陵和土明直接翻译成英文。没有参考任何资料,而且章节是在金叶子上即已分好。此书於1827年成书。此次所分析的尼腓三书十二到十四章,经旁特别注明是西元三十四年发生的事。

KJV,一本英文世界有名的译本,新约部份是根据早期的「公认经文(希腊文抄本)」翻译而成,於西元1611年翻译而成。后成为英文世界非常通行的译本。

虽然圣经曾经几次被尝试分段,而今日的分章是在西元1227年左右由兰顿大主教区分的,而分节较早,大约是在西元后九百年左右。这些统一的分章分节应该不是什么权威,因为分节有些「一个字」就成为一节,分章也有时并非切割在思路的段落上。

研究心得:

经过经文比对,发现摩门经基本上和KJV圣经的内容基本上是一样的,在「登山宝训」最有名的「八福」(第五章)一段和KJV版本英文圣经的主要差异是在一些语助词、连接词上的差异,另外每一段论述的前言和结语都略有不同。而尼腓三书十三、十四章与KJV的六、七两章几乎一字不差,除了某些开始和结语的部份略有不同之外,其他的完全一致。至於分章分节,也几乎是一致的,其中虽然有几节似乎经过重新编排,但大体上和KJV 是完全一致的。详细的比较请参考后面的「经文比较」。

比较有趣的是几个我用「????」标示出来的地方,一个地方是五(十二)章22节,另一个地方是六(十三)章24节。这两段圣经有三个很特别的名词:「拉加」、「魔利」、「玛门」。其中「拉加」可能是亚兰语(当时犹太人日常的语言),意思是「空洞」,这是当时犹太人常用的轻蔑语。而「魔利」就是希腊文,是愚蠢的意思。「玛门」,也是亚兰语,指「财神爷」。马太不用一般的希腊文来记载「拉加」和「玛门」,显然是因为读者都懂,而且马太希望读者能更深入的了解耶稣的演讲。

好!然后我们可以看到KJV直接音译「拉加」和「玛门」,而把「魔利」翻译成「fool」。我们可以了解为什么KJV 要这样翻译,因为他是模仿马太用两个外国文字来表达耶稣的意思,所以音译这两个亚兰文,而翻译那个希腊文。ㄟ!居然摩门经也是一字不漏的这样翻译。这....?不是太奇怪了吗?难道耶稣居然向那些用不同语文的人也说起亚兰文?然后翻译成英文的时候约翰使密斯也居然音译成和KJV一样的文字?

  • 太 5: 22 只是我告诉你们:凡(有古卷在凡字下加:无缘无故地)向弟兄动怒的,难免受审断;凡骂弟兄是拉加的,难免公会的审断;凡骂弟兄是魔利的,难免地狱的火。
  • 太 6: 24 一个人不能事奉两个主;不是恶这个,爱那个,就是重这个,轻那个。你们不能又事奉神,又事奉玛门(玛门:财利的意思)。


结论:

让我们想想,节录同样一篇演讲的路加(我把路加的节录附在文章的后面),都会和马太有一些「资料取舍差异」了,甚至根据同样的希腊文翻译成英文的圣经也会有一些字词差异(如果需要我可以提供当代其他版本的英文圣经资料),怎么耶稣在复活后的演讲,透过记载和约翰使密斯的翻译,能够和耶稣复活后二、三十年所节录的马太福音、经过抄写流传和分章分节之后「公认经文」抄本以及英文翻译后的KJV如此接近?连「音译」的地方都一样,并且多处一字不差。

其实,任何译本不免有所误差,而「公认经文」更是后来经文鉴别学者检验与订正的对象,至於分章分节,更是显然是「人的作为」而非是上帝神圣的工作。有什么理由说这些与正典原文略有差异的翻译或分章分节后的KJV 居然是被神圣上帝启示验证而一字不差的标的经文?这真是让人匪夷所思。

其实,只要弯下腰去对照一下摩门经和圣经,就知道所谓的「利用乌陵土明翻译神圣的金叶片」,不过是对当时流行的KJV 的修改而已。而且还有点懒惰,对於比较有名的段落改的比较多,对於没有名气的段落就「整段照抄」。

另外,我们也很容易了解为什么尼腓三书所记耶稣诞生的时间会与现代的考古资料与圣经解释不符。很简单,因为当时的人就是相信耶稣诞生之后就是「西元元年」,而摩门经不过是为这个当时流行的观念背书而已。然而透过现代考古学和圣经路加福音对照,却把耶稣真实诞生的时间订在「西元前四到六年」而非摩门经所说的「西元前一年」。

其实,如果我们深入研究「登山宝训」,就知道耶稣是用当时犹太人日常生活中的事物来教训犹太人,例如「盐失了味」、「强逼走路」、「拿里衣和外衣」、「祷告」、「禁食」....等等,都有特定的风土背景。硬是移植到美洲的背景,就显得有如在摩门经中出现「拉加」和「玛门」这种突勿的字词一样,格格不入。

因此,不论是历史背景的探讨,经文的比对,都让我个人相信摩门经是抄的远比相信摩门经是上帝的启示简单多了。有了一本圣经,上帝又何苦弄本矛盾连连的摩门经出来呢?难道只是为了信徒内心的「大美洲主义」(摩门教一开始是发源在美国)?

经文比较:
我采用KJV圣经经文为准,在每一行之前加上「**」,然后用「^^」指出摩门经与KJV圣经不同的地方,并将不同之处标出,用「-->」至於不同处之行首。例如马太福音五章3节和尼腓三书十二章3节的差异记录如下:

路 6: 20 耶稣举目看著门徒,说:你们贫穷的人有福了!因为神的国是你们的。路 6: 21 你们饥饿的人有福了!因为你们将要饱足。你们哀哭的人有福了!因为你们将要喜笑。路 6: 22 人为人子恨恶你们,拒绝你们,辱骂你们,弃掉你们的名,以为是恶,你们就有福了!路 6: 23 当那日,你们要欢喜跳跃,因为你们在天上的赏赐是大的。他们的祖宗待先知也是这样。路 6: 24 但你们富足的人有祸了!因为你们受过你们的安慰。路 6: 25 你们饱足的人有祸了!因为你们将要饥饿。你们喜笑的人有祸了!因为你们将要哀恸哭泣。路 6: 26 人都说你们好的时候,你们就有祸了!因为他们的祖宗待假先知也是这样。路 6: 27 只是我告诉你们这听道的人,你们的仇敌,要爱他!恨你们的,要待他好!路 6: 28 咒诅你们的,要为他祝福!凌辱你们的,要为他祷告!路 6: 29 有人打你这边的脸,连那边的脸也由他打。有人夺你的外衣,连里衣也由他拿去。路 6: 30 凡求你的,就给他。有人夺你的东西去,不用再要回来。路 6: 31 你们愿意人怎样待你们,你们也要怎样待人。路 6: 32 你们若单爱那爱你们的人,有甚么可酬谢的呢?就是罪人也爱那爱他们的人。路 6: 33 你们若善待那善待你们的人,有甚么可酬谢的呢?就是罪人也是这样行。路 6: 34 你们若借给人,指望从他收回,有甚么可酬谢的呢?就是罪人也借给罪人,要如数收回。路 6: 35 你们倒要爱仇敌,也要善待他们,并要借给人不指望偿还,你们的赏赐就必大了,你们也必作至高者的儿子;因为他恩待那忘恩的和作恶的。路 6: 36 你们要慈悲,像你们的父慈悲一样。路 6: 37 你们不要论断人,就不被论断;你们不要定人的罪,就不被定罪;你们要饶恕人,就必蒙饶恕(饶恕:原文作释放);路 6: 38 你们要给人,就必有给你们的,并且用十足的升斗,连摇带按,上尖下流的倒在你们怀里;因为你们用甚么量器量给人,也必用甚么量器量给你们。路 6: 39 耶稣又用比喻对他们说:瞎子岂能领瞎子,两个人不是都要掉在坑里么?路 6: 40 学生不能高过先生;凡学成了的不过和先生一样。路 6: 41 为甚么看见你弟兄眼中有刺,却不想自己眼中有梁木呢?路 6: 42 你不见自己眼中有梁木,怎能对你弟兄说:容我去掉你眼中的刺呢?你这假冒为善的人!先去掉自己眼中的梁木,然后才能看得清楚,去掉你弟兄眼中的刺。路 6: 43 因为,没有好树结坏果子,也没有坏树结好果子。路 6: 44 凡树木看果子,就可以认出他来。人不是从荆棘上摘无花果,也不是从蒺藜里摘葡萄。路 6: 45 善人从他心里所存的善就发出善来;恶人从他心里所存的恶就发出恶来;因为心里所充满的,口里就说出来。路 6: 46 你们为甚么称呼我主阿,主阿,却不遵我的话行呢?路 6: 47 凡到我这里来,听见我的话就去行的,我要告诉你们他像甚么人:
路 6: 48 他像一个人盖房子,深深的挖地,把根基安在磐石上;到发大水的时候,水冲那房子,房子总不能摇动,因为根基立在磐石上(有古卷:因为盖造得好)。路 6: 49 惟有听见不去行的,就像一个人在土地上盖房子,没有根基;水一冲,随即倒塌了,并且那房子坏的很大。
