| 05567 ψάλλω 動詞 未ψαλῶ。新約是沿用舊約的用法。「唱歌，歌頌」。與受稱頌者的間接受格連用，τῷ ὀνόματί σου ψαλῶ歌頌你的名， 羅15:9 （ 詩18:49 ）。τῷ κυρίῳ讚美主， 弗5:19 。此段經文有第二個間接受格，τῇ καρδίᾳ ὑμῶν用你們的心；此處是由ᾄδω唱演繹的（如 詩27:6 33:3 57:7 ），而造成疑問，是否此二字彙有相抵之處，ψ.的原意是「彈」（絃琴）。在七十士譯中Ψ.常指唱而言，不論有無絲絃的樂器伴奏（通常沒有），（ 詩7:17 9:11 108:3 等）。這用法繼續流行，直到現代希臘文單指著唱歌而言。參ψάλτης即唱歌者，吟誦者，與伴奏無關。雖然新約並不反對樂器，然而，由於基督教對神秘性的異教的扺抑，以及法利賽人厭惡在崇拜中的樂器伴奏，因此「唱詩」是最恰當的解譯，那些擁護「彈」的講法者，可能是過份蓄意傳播ψάλλω的最早期之意。ψ. τῷ πνεύματι用靈歌唱與ψ. τῷ νοΐ 用悟性歌唱相反。用靈歌唱，也要用悟性歌唱， 林前14:15 。獨立用法：歌頌， 雅5:13 。 |
