一、新約中，僅在少數情況中作最高級比較式用：「最小的，最少的」（書6:26 ）。ὁ ἐ. τῶν ἀποστόλων使徒中最小的，林前15:9 。

二、大多數是最高級：

A. 很少的，不足為道的等，雅3:4 。指誡命：不重要的，太5:19 上。κριτήρια ἐ.最小的事，林前6:2 ； οὐδαμῶς ἐ. εἶ ἐν τ. ἡγεμόσιν Ἰούδα在猶大諸城中並不是最小的，太2:6 。指人：不重要的，太5:19 下; 太25:40,45 。ἐλάχιστον最小的事，路12:26 ；（反於τὸ πολύ）路16:10 19:17 。ἐμοὶ εἰς ἐ. ἐστιν我都以為極小的事，林前4:3 （見 εἰμί－SG1510 參二）。
