04053 περισσός, ή, όν 形容词
「超过平常的数目」或「大小的」。

一、「非常的，非凡的」。用于不寻常的事，τί περισσὸν ποιεῖτε 比人有什么长处呢，太5:47 。实名词：τὸ περισόν 长处。τὸ περισσὸν τοῦ Ἰουδαίου 犹太人的长处，罗3:1 。

二、「丰盛的，过多的」。

A. 超过所需要的περισσὸν ἔχιν得很丰盛的东西，约10:10 。

B. 「多余的，不必要的」，περισσόν μοί ἐστιν τὸ γράφειν ὑμῖν我不必写给你们，林后9:1 。

三、作比较的用意；当περισσός与其副词及比较级连用时，通俗的取代：μᾶλλον更加地，μάλιστα最，以及πλείων更多，πλεῖστος 最大。τὸ περισσὸν τούτων再多说，太5:37 。ἐκ περισσοῦ（但3:22 ）十分，可6:51 见ἐκ－SG1537六C.及λίαν－SG3029一。*
