「用作补偿之物，赎罪之物」。具体用以指赎罪的方法，用来赎罪的礼物。指基督：ὃν προέθετο ὁ θεὸς ἱλαστήριον神设立…作挽回祭，罗3:25 。或将ἱ.视为补赎的地方（如结43:14,17,20 ;亦见来9:5 ）。七十士中ἱ.用以指约柜的罩，在赎罪日要将赎祭牲的血洒在其上（出25:16 以下等），所以来9:5 按此历史典故译作施恩座。*
