一、新约中，仅在少数情况中作最高级比较式用：「最小的，最少的」（书6:26 ）。ὁ ἐ. τῶν ἀποστόλων使徒中最小的，林前15:9 。

二、大多数是最高级：

A. 很少的，不足为道的等，雅3:4 。指诫命：不重要的，太5:19 上。κριτήρια ἐ.最小的事，林前6:2 ； οὐδαμῶς ἐ. εἶ ἐν τ. ἡγεμόσιν Ἰούδα在犹大诸城中并不是最小的，太2:6 。指人：不重要的，太5:19 下; 太25:40,45 。ἐλάχιστον最小的事，路12:26 ；（反于τὸ πολύ）路16:10 19:17 。ἐμοὶ εἰς ἐ. ἐστιν我都以为极小的事，林前4:3 （见 εἰμί－SG1510 参二）。

B. 作比较级：ἐμοὶ τῷ ἐλαχιστοτέρῳ 我比最小的还小，弗3:8 （见一：林前15:9 ）。*
