一、「养育，指导，训练，教育」。ἐπαιδεύθη Μωϋσῆς πάσῃ σοφίᾳ Αἰγυπτίων 摩西学了埃及人一切的学问，徒7:22 。πεπαιδευμένος κατὰ ἀκρίβειαν τοῦ πατρῴου νόμου按着我们祖宗严紧的律法受教，徒22:3 。

二、「培养纪律」：

A. 「矫正，给予指导」（七十士）。τινά某人：τοὺς ἀντιδιατιθεμένους那些抵挡的人，提后2:25 。带后置ἵνα：导向，多2:12 。

B. 「管教」带惩罚：

1. 多数指神的管教：来12:6 （箴3:12 ）。带ἐλέγχειν∶ 启3:19 （参箴3:12 诗6:1 38:1 141:4 ，另见来12:10 下。被动：林前11:32 林后6:9 。有益的管教甚至也可藉撒但得以发挥应用；被动：带后置不定词：提前1:20 。

2. 指来自生身之父的管教（箴19:18 28:17 上; 箴29:17 ）来12:7,10 上。

3. 用鞭打或使受痛苦来管教（王上12:11,14 代下10:11,14 ）; 路23:16,22 。παιδεύω此希腊字均译责打。
