{herd} (agel(885c)) old as Homer, but in N.T. only here and
parallels ( Mr 5:11  Mt 8:30 ). Luke shows his fondness for
adjective hikanos here again (see verse  27 ) where Mark has
megal(885c) and Matthew poll(936e).
